Please help us make sure that marginalised people are getting the HIV services they need
Five NGOs serving Key Pops in Cape Town have formed a Collective to advocate on behalf of Key Populations. We have initiated a rapid research project to capture the experiences of Key Populations, but we don’t have any funding to administer it.
A R300 donation will support a fieldworker for a day, reaching people who may have fallen out of care.

Why do we need your donation?
The United States has cut funding to a number of HIV organisations without warning. These funding cuts are impacting key populations – sex workers, the LGBTI community, people who use drugs and migrants in particular.
Civil society advocacy organisations who support these groups are under severe financial strain, and are battling to cushion the impact of the funding cuts on their communities.
It is vital for NGOs to document how Key Populations are being impacted by the funding cuts, many of whom were getting their HIV medicines from NGO clinics that have now closed.
You can help by sponsoring peer fieldworkers to document the stories of Key Populations in Cape Town, and to ensure that people who have fallen out of care, are helped.
What will we do with your donation?
The Collective will use your donation to pay fieldworkers a stipend, and to pay for some of their costs. The information we gather will help us to engage the Department of Health and to advocate for emergency measures to support access to health care for Key Populations.
The fieldworkers are peers who have lost their jobs as a result of the funding cuts.
